There isn’t going to be a devotion posted today. Instead, I’m sharing some pictures from this morning’s worship experience we had at Historic Trinity in downtown Detroit, founded in 1850.
I accidently choose a pew next to a young man, who was a tour guide in the city. He shared with me that the beautiful church building was built in 1929, with the funds from a prominent German business man, whose daughter has polio. She miraculously made a full recovery, regaining complete use of her legs.
This business man gave complete credit to God for healing his daughter, and in response, gave every cent of his fortune to the Lutheran Church. He told them to get the best materials, the best stained glass, the best everything for building this church building.
One other thing worth mentioning, we happened to attend on the 25th anniversary of the Freedom Festival, compete with bagpipes and drums. It’s their highest attended worship service (besides Christmas).
So enjoy these pictures, and if you ever get opportunity to worship there, please do. You won’t regret it.

God bless!
